Before installing the TIMBARβ’, confirm your pole saw is compatible. TIMBARβ’ is designed to fit most major electric and gas-powered pole saw brands, but compatibility varies by model and bar length.
To check: locate your pole saw's brand and model number (usually found on the housing label), then enter the details below in our Compatibility Checker (coming soon) to confirm fitment before purchase. If you're unsure, contact us and we'll help you find the right setup.
Installing the TIMBARβ’ takes less than 10 minutes and requires no special tools. Watch the video for a full walkthrough, or refer to the Quick Guide below. Make sure to read and follow all safety instructions.
If you run into any issues, contact us and we'd be happy to assist.
Before every use, run through this quick pre-use check to make sure your TIMBARβ’ assembly is safe and ready to work. It takes less than two minutes and can save you a lot of trouble in the field.
- Remove the power source β always disconnect before inspecting.
- Check all bolts β ensure every fastener is snugged up tight.
- Check chain tension β adjust if needed before starting.
- Check oil levels β confirm there is sufficient bar and chain oil.
- Inspect the torque arm and bar β look for damage, debris, or anything jammed inside the assembly. Everything should move freely with no obstructions.
With everything checked and installed, you're ready to cut. Follow these techniques to get the most out of every cut.
- Find stable footing β before you start, make sure you're standing on solid, level ground with a clear stance.
- Position yourself to the side β never stand directly under the branch. Stand to the side so falling debris doesn't come down on you.
- Apply a smooth, gentle forward motion β don't force it. Let the torque arm assembly do the work and pull the branch into the chain naturally.
- Throttle down between cuts β every time you complete a cut, throttle down before repositioning. Don't move with the saw at full speed.
- Maintain steady forward pressure β consistent, even pressure gives you cleaner cuts and reduces the chance of the chain binding or skipping.
Replacing your chain is quick and straightforward. Always disconnect the power source first, then follow these steps.
- Remove power source and detach the TIMBARβ’ arm
- Remove sprocket gear cover
- Slacken chain, then remove bar and chain
- Slide chain off the TIMBARβ’ arm
- Install new chain β teeth facing the correct direction (see quick sstart guide for more details)
- Seat chain properly in the bar grooves and set chain tension
- Replace sprocket cover tighten bar nut
